The centre of the humanitarian and business cooperation with the fellow nationals abroad – The Moscow House of Fellow Nationals (MFNH), which has begun operating on March 25, 2004, is intended to play an important role in the process of coordinating the efforts of all interested organizations for supporting the fellow nationals abroad. The founder of MFNH is the Moscow Government.

MFNH has been created as an organizational and coordinating centre of the work of the Moscow Government, the social, political, business, scientific and other organizations of the city with the Russian fellow nationals, residing abroad.

MFNH is the coordinating centre of the contacts and interaction of the Russian diaspora in the capital of the Russian Federation. It concentrates the activities of various structures, social organizations of the city of Moscow, which handle the problems of the fellow nationals. MFNH is the informational and coordinating centre for the questions of the Russian diaspora.

The goals of the MFNH’s activity, as the centre of the humanitarian and business cooperation with the fellow nationals abroad, are realized through the development of the following directions of activity:

Rendering assistance to the all-round participation of the social, scientific, business and other associations of the foreign fellow nationals and their representatives in the process of carrying out the programs of the Moscow Government for supporting the fellow nationals abroad, corresponding to the national interests of the Russian Federations;
Rendering assistance to the creation of conditions for the satisfaction of the national-cultural and national-educational demands, the fully legitimate social and cultural development of the Russian diaspora abroad;
Developing the profitable economic interaction of Moscow and the business-structures of the fellow nationals abroad.

The goal and the meaning of the activity of the Moscow House of Fellow Nationals are reflected in the words of Y. M. Luzhkov: “A Russian word is the thing that unites the Russian population in every foreign country and us, Russian citizens, with the Russian population abroad. The process of unification gains a great power because it is not only natural, but also absolutely necessary and possible.”
