The Moscow Center for International Cooperation is a state unitary enterprise of the city of Moscow (hereinafter — Center). The Center was created by Resolution # 997-RP of the Moscow Government dd. 10.07.2002. The official abbreviated name of the Center is SUE MCIC (www.mcic.ru) The official English name of the Center is «Moscow Center for International Cooperation». The Center is affiliated with the Department of Foreign Economic and International Relations of the city of Moscow which provides coordination, regulation and scientific and methodological support for the Center. The main areas of the Center's work are promotion of the image of Moscow as an attractive destination for foreign and domestic investments; development and expert evaluation of foreign economic programs and projects; realization of target programs of the Moscow Government; cooperation in attracting foreign companies and organizations for carrying out economic and investment projects; publishing, advertising, and exhibitory activities; quality tourist services, passport and visa support, translation and interpreting. An important part of the Center's work is the expansion of trade and economic cooperation between Moscow and the CIS and Baltic countries, as well as between Moscow and non-CIS states. The Center establishes its representative offices and branches in foreign countries, takes part in creating Moscow cultural and business centers abroad and signs agreements with large enterprises. The Center manages a number of Moscow cultural and business centers abroad, particularly in Sofia, Yerevan, Bishkek, Vilnius, Sevastopol, Donetsk, and Sukhumi. SUE Moscow Center for International Cooperation supports a number of investment projects for the creation of Trade and Business Centers of Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Vilnius in Moscow, on the parcels of land allocated by the Moscow Government within the framework of bi-lateral agreements based on reciprocity principle. The Center participates in humanitarian programs of the Moscow Government. The Center receives many guests invited by the Moscow Government to participate in various programs and events and offers a full range of services for delegations and individuals staying in Moscow, including passport and visa support and tourist services.
